OUR OFFSPRING · B LITTER 2021

Búri vom Pauelsgraben

Búri comes from my B litter, born on 11 February 2021. With his handler Patricia Frake, he combines regular hunting work with a balanced temperament in everyday life. I am particularly pleased with his development, the tests he has passed and his success in the show ring.

HUNTING WITH PATRICIA

Passionate in the field

Patricia works Búri mainly in tall reeds on up to 30 driven hunts a year, accompanying him through the drive. He gives tongue on the scent and on sight within a radius of around 500 metres. About every half hour, he checks back with her to establish where she is.

Búri works wild boar with determination. In Patricia’s experience, he reliably splits up sounders and holds smaller animals of up to around 40 kilograms at bay. Predatory game is dispatched or retrieved.

Several blood-tracking handlers also use Búri as a dog released to pursue wounded game during follow-up work.

TEMPERAMENT & LIVING TOGETHER

A calm companion at home

At home, Patricia describes Búri as a friendly, quiet and relaxed companion who is not easily unsettled. He lives happily with both male and female dogs and is accustomed to life in a pack.

He enjoys taking on the role of an attentive “uncle”: he keeps an eye on what is happening and has already accompanied several young dogs as they have grown up. He welcomes invited visitors in a friendly manner.
