Flinta Cnotliwy Nos “Dana”
Dana was my first hunting dog of my own, and the dog with whom it all began for me. She came to me from Poland in 2016. At the time, I could not have imagined how deeply she would shape my future. She accompanied me through my first years as a hunter, became the foundation bitch of my kennel and, above all, was an inseparable part of our family.
As a hunting dog, she was exactly the type I value: a very fine nose, plenty of passion and stamina, yet never reckless. She worked calmly and intelligently and stayed closely connected to her handler. This combination made Dana so special to me.

Strong, harmonious and friendly
Dana was a compact bitch of rectangular proportions, with strong bone and correct musculature. Her expressive head, correctly set ears, well-developed chest, firm back and fluid movement with plenty of drive were highlighted.
Her black coat with clearly defined tan markings matches the typical appearance of the Gończy Polski. The conformation assessment describes her temperament as lively and friendly.

Never forgotten
On 7 June 2025, I lost Dana in a tragic hunting accident. She was far more than the foundation bitch of my kennel: my own journey with the Gończy Polski began with her, as did “vom Pauelsgraben” breeding in 2019.
Her strong natural hunting abilities, excellent nose, dependable temperament and special bond with me made her an exceptional hunting dog and loyal companion.
Through the A, B and C litters, and particularly through her daughter Caya, Dana’s line lives on. She remains an unforgettable part of our family and the foundation of my breeding.

Dana’s hunting records document her abilities across different areas of work, from proof of giving tongue while hunting and flushing to demanding blood tracking.
Dana particularly impressed me with her strong natural hunting abilities and her excellent, reliable nose. She worked with stamina and willingness, always closely connected to her handler. She combined fine scent work with calmness and good judgement. When confronting game, she stood her ground, judged the animal very well and acted thoughtfully, never recklessly.

FOUNDATION BITCH OF VOM PAUELSGRABEN
The foundation of my breeding
“vom Pauelsgraben” breeding began in 2019 with Dana and the A litter. She was also the mother of the B litter in 2021 and the C litter in 2023. Through three litters, Dana left a lasting mark on my breeding. Her hunting abilities, temperament and line live on in her offspring; her daughter Caya vom Pauelsgraben continues the breeding line.
