2. Technical provision and hosting
This website is provided through WordPress.com. According to Automattic, for users in Europe the service is generally provided by Aut O’Mattic A8C Ireland Ltd., Grand Canal Dock, 25 Herbert Pl, Dublin, D02 AY86, Ireland; Automattic Inc. may also be involved in individual processing operations.
When you access the website, technically necessary connection data may be processed, in particular your IP address, the date and time of access, the page or file accessed, browser and device information, and technical log data. This processing supports the delivery, stability and security of the website.
Where processing falls within our responsibility, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the secure and reliable operation of this website.
WordPress.com infrastructure processes data in the EU and the USA; exclusively European storage is not guaranteed. For international transfers, Automattic describes safeguards including, in particular, standard contractual clauses. Details and contact information can be found in Automattic’s privacy information.
3. Contacting us and the contact form
If you contact us by email or using the contact form, we process the information you provide to handle your enquiry. The form collects your name, email address, message and confirmation that you have read the privacy information. This confirmation is not consent to advertising or web analytics.
WordPress.com Forms and Akismet
The form uses WordPress.com/Jetpack. Responses are stored in the website’s forms area and forwarded to our contact email address. Associated data include your IP address, the time and browser information; for logged-in WordPress users, the user account may also be associated with the response. Automattic’s integrated Akismet service checks form entries and accompanying technical data for spam.
Email through Titan
Our mailbox for kontakt@gonczy-polski-pauelsgraben.de uses Titan. According to Titan’s privacy policy, the provider is Titan Solution Ltd SEZC, CO Services Cayman Limited, P.O. Box 10008, Willow House, Cricket Square, Grand Cayman, KY1-1001, Cayman Islands. To receive, store, send and protect emails, Titan processes, in particular, sender and recipient addresses, message content, attachments where applicable, and technical delivery data.
Titan may involve service providers outside the European Economic Area. Titan describes protective agreements for this purpose; its published data processing addendum refers to standard data protection clauses. Further details are provided in the Titan privacy policy, the data processing addendum and the list of subprocessors.
The legal basis for enquiries about a possible agreement is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. We answer other enquiries on the basis of our legitimate interest in personal communication under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Protection against spam and misuse serves our legitimate interest in the secure operation of our communication channels. Information from the contact form is not automatically passed to Salesforce, Jetpack CRM or MailPoet.
4. Website search
Our website provides a standard search function. When you enter a search term, it is processed to display relevant published content from our website.
Search is provided through WordPress.com infrastructure. Technically necessary connection data may be processed in the same way as during a normal page visit. An AI-powered answer function is not enabled at the website’s public launch.
If we introduce an additional AI-powered search or answer function later, we will review the function and update this privacy policy accordingly before activating it.
5. Statistics, cookies and similar technologies
WordPress.com / Jetpack Stats
The WordPress.com platform includes integrated visitor statistics. According to the provider, these process data including page views, outbound clicks, referring pages and approximate locations. The data processed include IP address, browser information, the URL accessed, the time and, where applicable, data from a logged-in WordPress account. We receive aggregated analyses, not a list of identified visitors. According to WordPress.com, statistical logs are retained for 28 days. Further details are available in the information about Jetpack Stats.
WordPress.com may use cookies or similar technologies for operation, login, security and other platform functions. Such access to your device must be distinguished from subsequent processing of personal data.
Section 25(2), no. 2 TDDDG applies to access that is strictly necessary to provide a service you have expressly requested. Non-essential access generally requires prior consent under Section 25(1) TDDDG. Where the processing of personal data is based on consent, its legal basis is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Providing information alone does not replace any required consent.
6. External links and embedded content
Our website contains links to external services, for example VDH, FCI, JGHV, VGPD and the state hunting association. A connection to these external providers is generally established only when you open the relevant link.
The location illustration on our website is embedded as our own graphic, rather than as an interactive Google Maps map.
Google Analytics and the WordAds advertising programme are currently not activated. Published content is provided through WordPress.com infrastructure; the location graphic used does not establish an interactive connection to Google Maps.
7. Retention periods
We retain personal data for as long as needed for their purpose or as required by statutory retention obligations. Completed contact enquiries are deleted once no further handling, agreement or legally required retention is necessary. This applies both to the form response stored in WordPress.com and to the associated email in the Titan mailbox.
Technical logs are also subject to the periods described by the respective provider. Automattic states approximately 30 days for web server logs; WordPress.com states 28 days for Jetpack statistics logs. Deletion from the active mailbox or forms area does not necessarily mean immediate removal from the provider’s time-limited technical backups.
8. Your rights
Subject to the statutory requirements, you have, in particular, the rights of access to your personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection to certain processing. You may withdraw consent you have given with effect for the future.
To exercise your rights, simply send a message to kontakt@gonczy-polski-pauelsgraben.de.
9. Right to complain and further information
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. For non-public bodies in Saxony-Anhalt, the competent supervisory authority is the State Commissioner for Data Protection of Saxony-Anhalt.
