Are you looking for a working-bred Gończy Polski puppy? Caya vom Pauelsgraben was mated to Luka Leśna Złaja (FCI) on 22 October 2026. Pregnancy has not yet been confirmed. An ultrasound is planned in about three weeks, provisionally around 12 November 2026.
I place my puppies exclusively with hunters and people training to become hunters. Prospective owners from Germany and other European countries are welcome to get in touch now, without obligation.

Caya & Luka – my planned D litter
Update, 22 October 2026: the mating has taken place. The previously agreed pairing of Caya vom Pauelsgraben and Luka Leśna Złaja (FCI) has now taken place. I am waiting to find out whether Caya is pregnant; this has not yet been confirmed.
Progesterone testing helped narrow down the appropriate mating time. The next planned milestone is an ultrasound in about three weeks, provisionally around 12 November 2026, to find out whether Caya is pregnant.
A strong match for hunting
I believe Caya and Luka complement each other very well as hunting dogs. Both have demonstrated their search and flushing work in the Verbands-Stöberprüfung (VStP). Caya also holds a first prize in the 20-hour Verbandsschweißprüfung (VSwP) blood-tracking test. Their proven hunting ability is an important reason for my planned pairing.

Luka’s working test results
In the natural ability test (AP) on 19 March 2022, Luka scored 4 for determination on the trail, 3 for tracking reliability, 3 for giving voice on the trail and 4 for steadiness to gunfire.
He passed the Verbands-Stöberprüfung (VStP) in Eutin on 2 December 2024 with 56 points. He was assessed in search and flushing work accompanied by the handler; his behaviour at dead game was also recorded as a pass.
Inbreeding coefficient of the planned pairing
Provisional inbreeding coefficient of the planned puppies: 1.56% (Wright’s method).
The calculated value is low in relation to the pedigrees available. From a population genetics perspective, a low coefficient is favourable when based on comparable ancestry data: it helps limit the loss of genetic diversity through inbreeding. I consider health, temperament and hunting ability together when planning a litter.
The calculation covers four fully documented ancestral generations of the planned puppies, counting Caya and Luka as the first generation, as well as further known ancestors. Additional pedigree data may increase the value. This assessment applies to the available data; it is neither a health guarantee nor a general breeding approval.

Puppies leave no earlier than 8 weeks of age
My puppies move to their new homes no earlier than eight full weeks of age. Age alone is not the deciding factor for me: each puppy also needs to be ready for the move.
Well prepared for their new homes
When they leave, the puppies are microchipped, vaccinated appropriately for their age, and receive their VDH pedigree and an EU pet passport. My guide to preparing for a Gończy Polski covers equipment, ongoing costs and the time you need to plan for.

Our path towards the D litter
The mating has taken place. I am now waiting for the next examination. This timeline separates confirmed events from provisional windows for birth and possible departure.

Caya vom Pauelsgraben was mated to Luka Leśna Złaja (FCI). This confirms the mating, not a pregnancy.
02 · Ultrasound planned
Provisionally around 12 November 2026
An ultrasound in about three weeks is intended to establish whether Caya is pregnant. This is an approximate window, not a confirmed appointment date.
03 · Whelping, if Caya is pregnant
Provisional window: 21–24 December 2026
An indicative calculation using 60–63 days from mating. The actual birth date may differ; further veterinary assessment will be taken into account.
04 · Earliest possible departure
Provisionally from 16–19 February 2027
If birth falls within the window above, eight weeks would be reached on 15–18 February. Puppies leave only when over eight weeks old and by individual agreement. Actual birth date, health, development and any entry requirements determine the timing.

Questions about my Gończy Polski puppies
When is the next litter planned?
Caya was mated to Luka on 22 October 2026. Pregnancy has not yet been confirmed. An ultrasound is planned in about three weeks, provisionally around 12 November 2026. If Caya is pregnant, a provisional calculation of 60–63 days from mating gives a whelping window of 21–24 December 2026. Actual birth and possible departure dates will be adjusted when more is known.
Who can have one of my puppies?
Exclusively hunters and people training to become hunters. It matters to me that the dog will work in hunting and also have a secure place in everyday family life. A hunting licence alone does not answer every question: we discuss training, care and real opportunities to work the dog in person.
How does a puppy enquiry work?
Start by telling me a little about yourself, your hunting background and the work you have in mind. We then talk about your expectations and my breeding. If it feels right for both of us, we arrange to meet in person. A message is without obligation and is not a reservation or a promise of a puppy. How do I raise my puppies?
You can get an insight into my previous breeding and puppy rearing on the pages for my A litter, B litter and C litter. I am happy to talk with you about how I plan to prepare the D litter for their future homes. I will share their development after they are born.
Are enquiries from abroad welcome?
Yes, I also welcome enquiries from hunters and people training to become hunters in other European countries. We will discuss the handover and the requirements of the destination country together in good time. A suitable handover date can therefore only be agreed for each individual case.
How much does a Gończy Polski puppy cost, and what is included?
We discuss the puppy price and specific terms in person. When my puppies leave, they are microchipped and vaccinated appropriately for their age, and receive their VDH pedigree and an EU pet passport. They leave no earlier than eight full weeks of age. Puppies moving abroad may need to meet additional requirements and leave at a later date.
