TRANSPARENCY
Affiliate disclosure
When I recommend products or providers, I want to be open about whether payment or commission may be involved.
My approach
I assess equipment according to its purpose, safety, durability and practical suitability. The possibility of receiving payment through a link does not influence my honest assessment.
Labelling
Links that may generate commission on a purchase are clearly labelled directly alongside the link as partner or affiliate links. This generally does not add to the price for users; any different conditions would be expressly stated.
No confirmed partner programmes at present
I currently use no confirmed partner programmes, discount codes or payment arrangements. Before the first commercial link is added, this page will be updated with the provider, how the arrangement works and any tracking information.
Distinguishing experience from advertising
- My own practical experience is distinguished from manufacturers‘ claims.
- Advantages, disadvantages and limitations are stated.
- Paid content or supplied products are clearly labelled.
- Safety-related statements are not abbreviated for promotional purposes.
Privacy-related details about tracking or third-party providers will also be explained in the privacy policy once the services actually used have been confirmed.
