Gończy Polski vom Pauelsgraben

16 JANUARY 2023 · THIRD LITTER

C litter vom Pauelsgraben

My C litter was born on 16 January 2023. The mating of my Dana with the hunting-tested Zagraj Goniec Pomorski produced eight healthy, lively puppies – three females and five males. As this was Dana’s third and final litter, this time held special meaning for me from the very beginning.

THE MATING

Excellent scenting ability meets a proven maternal line

For the C litter, Dana was mated with Zagraj Goniec Pomorski. This strong, compact male impressed me with his excellent scenting ability, a height at the withers of 55 centimetres, and his successful natural ability test, hunting utility test and association blood-tracking test on a 20-hour-old track. His pronounced hunting instincts complemented Dana in a way that fitted my breeding goals very well.

The aim of this mating was to produce healthy, resilient, handler-focused Gończy Polski with sound temperaments, a passion for hunting and close family bonds. Alongside performance and health, the focus was on balanced conformation, stable temperaments and the complementary qualities of both lines.

Eight puppies – a special milestone

On 16 January 2023, Dana gave birth to eight healthy puppies: three females and five males. From the start, she cared for her puppies calmly, confidently and reliably.

As her third and final litter, the C litter marked a special chapter in my breeding journey. Dana had already proven herself a reliable mother with her two previous litters, and she also guided these eight puppies confidently through their first weeks of life.

Eight curious little personalities

The eight puppies developed steadily and thrived. I followed their progress every day. As they grew older, age-appropriate supplementary feeding, more exercise and a steady stream of new experiences were introduced. Dana cared for her puppies reliably and provided a secure setting for this important early stage of development.

Family contact, different surfaces, everyday sounds, exercise, environmental stimuli and age-appropriate introductions to hunting were all natural parts of their upbringing. The puppies showed promising natural abilities early on, explored their surroundings attentively and were well prepared to start their new lives as hunting and family companions.
