Gończy Polski vom Pauelsgraben

A litter vom Pauelsgraben

My A litter in 2019 marked the beginning of a very special chapter for me: breeding under the name vom Pauelsgraben. The mating of Flinta Cnotliwy Nos, my Dana, with the Polish male Nugat Asanegra resulted in twelve Gończy Polski puppies being raised.

THE MATING

Carefully planned for performance, health and temperament

I selected Nugat Asanegra very deliberately as the sire of my first litter. His natural hunting abilities, healthy, strong conformation and bloodline that suited Dana impressed me. The personal recommendation and direct discussions surrounding this first mating were also particularly important to me at the time.

My aim was to breed capable, steady-nerved, handler-focused Gończy Polski that combine a passion for hunting with a balanced temperament and close family bonds.

An unforgettable first litter

The pregnancy and birth were largely uncomplicated overall. On 24 March 2019, Dana gave birth to a total of 13 puppies. Sadly, one female was stillborn. Twelve puppies – four females and eight males – continued to develop and were reliably cared for by Dana.

My first litter remains an unforgettable moment for me. Each day, the puppies grew – and with them, I grew into my role as a breeder. The intensive time with Dana and her twelve puppies laid the foundations for everything that followed at the vom Pauelsgraben kennel.

Upbringing and early natural abilities

During their upbringing, I found the puppies lively and curious, yet also balanced, confident and very people-oriented. Many showed an interest in their surroundings and hunting stimuli from an early age. Rest, family contact, age-appropriate encouragement and varied experiences formed the basis of their first weeks of life.
